Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central does not offer, out of the box, a payroll processing module. Customers can outsource payroll management or rely on external solutions such as ADP or Paymate.

Another viable option, if you want to control the process from beginning to end is Payroll by Sylogist. This solution comes as an extension to Business Central and, as such, integrates seamlessly within Business Central. No need for separate logins.

This solution, formerly known as Serenic Payroll, has been around for decades and has a proven track record over all those years. This product can handle payroll requirements for all North American states, provinces and territories. It is highly flexible and configurable and can therefore handle all scenarios.

Over the years, the solution has evolved to include an employee self-service portal and applicant tracking functionality. Moreover, Sylogist recently acquired a solution called Time Clock Now which includes leave management, scheduling and time & attendance functionality, among others.
