Dynamics 365 Business Central 24 Wave 2 will soon be available
This new release is scheduled to come out in October. Here are some highlights we think may be of interest to you.
Microsoft continues to work on improving integrations between Business Central and their other cloud solutions. Multiple configuration templates will be added for Dataverse synchronization. The Shopify Connector has been improved. Dynamics 365 Field Service will now integrate with Business Central’s Service Management module! This one is a big one in my humble opinion.
Just like in the spring release, some functional improvements are introduced in the projects management module. It is now possible to use directed put-aways and warehouse picks with projects. Replenishment algorithms for items will also include project demand.
The Copilot footprint on Business Central increases with this release. Some of the areas where Copilot can be helpful are:
• Bank reconciliations
• Number Series management
• Creating product information
• Creating sales lines
Please note that some AI features marked as Preview may not yet be available in Canada.
We will be able to drag & drop multiple documents when attaching files in the upload dialog box. This feature was previously available via extensions but will now be part of standard BC.
Finally, the ability to be notified about issues with the job queue in background processing is a nice touch as this has been problematic for some customers in the past, especially when dealing with integrations relying on the job queue for data transfers.
