The concession player
Good day,
Sydney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Connor McDavid… Carey Price! What hockey organization would not be willing to sign a player with the ability to transform the team, make his teammates better?
To win, a project team must be able to rely on a concession player. When a company launches an implementation project, it is virtually impossible to plan everything and it becomes important to rely on experienced and qualified help.
Your concession player will help you deploy an efficient project structure. He will guide you through the execution of tasks and, more importantly, will be able to advise you when problems arise. He may also be surprised on occasion, but he should be better prepared to react.
Choosing the right implementation partner is like signing that precious concession player. The best partner does not have to be the biggest, more prestigious firm or perhaps the one that sells the most software. The best partner will be the firm that can demonstrate its ability and commitment by proactively meeting your needs, truly listening and being particularly focused on your environment, culture and capabilities as an organization.
Do not hesitate to ask for references and validate them.
Your partner can make a difference between a successful project or a failure. The right partner will help you win!
As always, please write to me if you want to comment or have questions.
Cordially,
Sylvain.
